Dr. Abhigya Parajuli
I’ve been called “Muna” since I can remember — a nickname my family gave me in childhood that somehow never left. It’s a name that reminds me where I come from, and it’s the name I chose for the clinic that will one day be my professional home.
I completed my MBBS at Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara, graduating with first division and completing a one-year rotating internship across General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Orthopaedics. During that year, I learned to suture, place catheters and NG tubes, assist in major surgeries, and — more importantly — to stay calm and think clearly when minutes matter.
That pull toward acute care led me to pursue an MD in General Practice & Emergency Medicine at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, which I began in March 2026. Emergency medicine, to me, is the intersection of skill and empathy: knowing what to do and being present for the person in front of you.
Beyond the wards, I’ve developed a love for research and academic writing. I served as an editorial assistant for the Journal of Gandaki Medical College, published on medical education during COVID-19, and have a manuscript under review on a rare surgical presentation. I’ve also been involved in health camps, global health volunteering, and organizing medical webinars — activities that keep me connected to the bigger picture of public health.
Outside medicine, I’m a believer in community, clear communication, and the power of a simple explanation. That’s what this website is about, and what Muna Clinic will stand for.
